How do I join?
Download the Alaska Panel app from the App Store or Google Play, or sign up at app.alaskapanel.com. It takes about three minutes: your name, address, mobile number, and a few questions about you so we can match you to studies.
Who can join?
Alaska residents 18 or older with a U.S. mobile number. One account per person.
Do I need the app?
No — the website works for signing up and for most surveys. The app is the best experience: you get an instant notification when a study matches you, and a few studies are app-only.
What happens after I sign up?
We confirm you're an Alaska resident, usually within a day or two. After that, matching studies appear in your account and we'll notify you when a new one opens. Participation is always voluntary. You can opt out at any time.
How much do you pay, and how do I get paid?
Every study shows its payment before you start. Online surveys typically pay $5 or more; focus groups usually pay $100 or more for an hour or two of your time. After we confirm your completed study, your reward is delivered by email through our rewards partner, Tremendous — choose from e-gift cards and other digital options.
Why do you need my mobile number?
To keep the panel to real, individual Alaskans. Your number is verified with a one-time code, one number per account, and payments only go to verified accounts.
I joined the Alaska Panel years ago. Do I need to sign up again?
Yes — please create an account in the app or at app.alaskapanel.com. The new platform verifies every member. If you were already on our list, we'll link things up on our end.
What is a focus group?
A focus group is a guided discussion with a group of participants to dig deeper into a topic than we could with a survey. A moderator leads the group, but the objective is simply to hear from everyone and learn what you know or don’t know about any particular topic. We then write up a report for our clients and let them know what we learned.
Why should I participate?
First, you get paid. Plain and simple. Some projects are quick and you get a minimum of $5 for just a minute or two. Some are more of a commitment and you can earn a few hundred dollars. One thing we hear a LOT is “Wow, that was a lot more interesting/fun than I thought it would be”.
How do you use my data?
We use what you give us only to match you with research you qualify for and to pay you. Your survey answers are reviewed by our staff and shared with clients only in combined or de-identified form. We never sell your information or share your contact details with anyone outside Hays Research Group. Questions? Email info@haysresearch.com.
Can I delete my account?
Yes — any time, from Settings in the app. Your account closes immediately and your personal information is purged after a 30-day grace period, except records we're legally required to keep.
